Lorraine Currelley, poet, writer, mental health counselor, human rights and mental health advocate, is the founder of Poets Network & Exchange. She is widely anthologized in literary publications, and has served as president of The Harlem Arts Fund. Lorraine Currelley holds a Masters in mental health counseling and a Certificate in Thanatology (grief and bereavement.) In addition to poetry and short stories, she writes for scientific publications on social, mental health, and grief and bereavement issues, and is the recipient of numerous community service awards for her work with the homeless and community efforts. Lorraine Currelley is the founder and editor of The Currelley Literary Journal and the LC Information and Resource Center, a blog which addresses and provides links to nationwide resources on domestic and sexual violence.
