From 2017 Young Writers Contest Poetry Judge Chip Livingston:
Bowls is a terrifically balanced vessel containing the narrative of lives torn between art and survival, traditional wisdoms and modern education. I admired the control of the lines, the enjambments, the maturity of the structure, and the range of experience.
Lisa’s winning poem will be featured in our 2018 edition of DoveTales, An International Journal of the Arts.
