Chrissie Morris Brady was raised in Germany until the age of five, when her family moved to England. At age nine to eleven she was stricken a rare disease which nearly cost her life. Left with akinetic mutism (locked in syndrome) she began a rehabilitation for which there was no prognosis – she was the first to survive the surgery.
Chrissie is by nature a traveler, and spent three years in Southern California working with recovering addicts and gaining a degree in Psychology. Chrissie has also worked with the brain injured, the Citizen’s Advice Bureaux, the NHS, and has assisted Government Agencies in safeguarding children. She is a passionate about social justice, the arts, education, and environmental issues.
Chrissie now lives on the Dorset coast with her young daughter. She visits her father as often as possible.
