Joseph Black is a pen name used by Joseph Purcell, to distinguish his Fine Art career from his card business. Born and raised in the Acadian village of West Chezzetcook on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia, many of his cards depict his childhood and reflect the Acadian tradition.
